BGV® Big Data Project: Consumer Knowledge, Big Data and Analytics: Opportunities for Innovation in a Specific Sector

The BGV® Big Data Project was born in 2015 as part of the BGV® Research Line. It refers to Data-Driven Innovation, which precedes Knowledge-Driven Innovation of fundamental interest for the BGV® Research Line.


The project concerns all types of organizations or economic sectors. Here the size of the organization does not matter, and it can be relevant even for a start-up company.

Each sector or each company to be considered for the BGV® Big Data Project can choose the data on the basis of which it will exercise its capacity for innovation.

Specifically in what is related to management and especially to marketing, the BGV® Big Data Project promotes analytics to pull the best knowledge from customers, consumers and prospects, and to emphasize the appropriate satisfaction of their needs based on the culture and the specific reality of each region.
